I've just had a letter from my rheumy telling me my bloods show I have become more anaemic. I always have been slightly anaemic ever since being diagnosed but this is the first time there has been a noticeable change He's sending me for further tests to check B12, iron and folic acid levels.
I assume that would probably account for the fact that I've been feeling exhausted and getting a bit light headed recently. Also I've noticed my hair is staring to come out- (not excessively thank goodness!)

Is this all part of the joy of having RA? I'd welcome comments from anyone who has had similar experiences.

I certainly know what's it's like being anaemic, I've had low red blood count for two years now. My rheumy says the R.A attacks the bone marrow causing anaemia. When your inflammation is more active, you may find your anaemia is worse. Good advice from Paul-iron with Vit c.

The chronic fatigue is awful when you have a low count, it will affect your hair too.
